BibleTime 2.7.3 released!

We just released BibleTime 2.7.3, which is a bugfix version in the stable 2.7 series. We suggest all users to upgrade.

Changes since version 2.7.2:

BibleTime on Gentoo and Mac OS X

Some great news! The latest and greatest BibleTime is now available on Gentoo, thanks to Jaak's hard work. From his e-mail to the developers:

Gentoo Linux users can now have up-to-date BibleTime from the new BibleTime ebuild overlay accessible via layman. To use the overlay, you first need to have layman installed and properly configured. To install layman, type the following and follow the on-screen instructions:

# emerge -a layman

To add the BibleTime overlay to Gentoo, issue the following commands:

100 Fans on Facebook!

Yay! We're up to 100 fans on our Facebook page!

Folks on the BibleTime marketing team have been busy recently, and unfortunately haven't had a chance to do much promotion, so hitting 100 fans is quite a feat. We're hopefully going to be getting back into the swing of things in the near future, especially once we manage to take ownership of the "bibletime" Twitter user.

BibleTime 2.6 Beta 2

BibleTime 2.6 Beta 2 has arrived!

Because of a regression we decided to release a second beta version for testing. It contains a bugfix for proper text handling which was partly broken in 2.6.beta1. If you want to help test BibleTime 2.6, please discard 2.6.beta1 and only use this version instead. You can download the latest version from our download page.

Please help us by testing!

BibleTime 2.5 CE (Christmas Edition) Released!

The BibleTime team is proud to announce the release of BibleTime 2.5 (Christmas edition).

It can be downloaded from SourceForge.net (should appear soon). A release of BibleTime for Windows will also appear soon.

Changes since 2.4:

50 Fans on Facebook!

I'm proud to announce that BibleTime now has 50 fans on Facebook, yay!

We haven't put a lot of effort into marketing our Social Networking yet, we're waiting for the "bibletime" account on Twitter to be freed up for us, and none of us really has had a lot of time to devote to it, so hitting 50 fans is a good milestone :-)

If you don't know about it yet, or you're not a fan yet, I encourage you to go to our Facebook Page, and become a fan!

A New Website: The Start

After some discussion on the developer mailing list, a group of us have decided to look at updating the BibleTime website. The current website is static, looking somewhat dated, and manually updated. With the recent launch of this blog, and BibleTime starting to make an appearance on the Social Networking scene, we thought that a more dynamic and sociable site would be a better way forward.

BibleTime 2.4.rc1 is released!

BibleTime 2.4.rc1 is released. It can be downloaded from https://sourceforge.net/projects/bibletime/files (should appear soon).

Bug-A-Thon 2, codename "Beit"

Yes folks, it's Bug-a-thon time again!

So, after the success of the last bug-a-thon, we've decided to have another one this weekend! In fact, we've decided to have more bug-a-thons, but we're still not 100% sure if we're going to have them on a regular basis.

Welcome to the BibleTime blog!

As per the title, we wish you a very warm welcome to the brand new BibleTime blog! From time to time members of the BibleTime will post about BibleTime. For the moment, we're still getting the site up and running, so come back and check on the progress!
